How do you play Guess the Driver?
Everyone sees the same clues about a mystery racing driver, one at a time, and the first to pick the right name out of three scores a point. Today's grid and the legends are mixed, so a champion from decades ago can come up right after a driver racing this season.
- Send the link. One of you starts a game and shares the link or the 4-letter code. Play with up to 4 friends for free, or play alone.
- Watch the clues drop. A new clue appears every 7 seconds: three facts, then the country, the position and the season.
- Guess when you dare. Pick one of three names. Right, and you score a point. Wrong, and everyone else scores a point and the round ends.
- First to 10 wins. Playing alone? You get 10 rounds, and the game counts how many you got.
The earlier you guess, the more you risk. Wait for the last clue, and someone faster may take the point first.
What are the clues?
Six clues per player, from the hardest to the easiest, all about the player's best season.

The two wrong names are usually drivers from the same era, so the facts and the flag do the real work. Every driver in the game has three facts from their best season.
Can you play Guess the Driver online with friends?
Yes. Everyone plays on their own phone, so it works on the same sofa, over a video call or straight from the group chat. Want it on the big screen? Open deadlineday.app/tv on the TV and everyone scans the code.

- Create a game and send the link. Send the link before lights out on race weekend. Everyone joins on their own phone, no account needed.
- Bid on one racing driver at a time. Champions from 1952 come up side by side with today's grid. There is only one position, so every lot is a straight fight over pace.
- Choose which three of your drivers race. Each manager runs three cars. Finishing positions score 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8 and down, and the team with the most points wins. The final is one race between the top two teams' six cars, starting from a mixed grid.

Racing Guess the player rules in one minute
- Players: 1 to 8. Up to 4 play free; alone you get 10 rounds and a score.
- Clues: three facts from the best season, then the flag, the position and the season.
- Answers: three names to choose from. Right scores you 1 point; wrong gives everyone else 1.
- Winning: first to 10 points.
- The racing drivers: 76 drivers, so the position clue tells you nothing.

Can I play Guess the Driver alone?
Yes. Alone you get 10 rounds, and the game counts how many you got right. With friends, the first to 10 points wins.
How hard are the racing clues?
The first three are facts from the racing driver's best season, the hardest first. The flag, position and season come last, and by then someone has usually guessed.
What happens if I guess the wrong racing driver?
Everyone else scores a point and the round ends, so a wild early guess can cost you.
