How do you play Guess the Basketball Player?
Everyone sees the same clues about a mystery basketball player, one at a time, and the first to pick the right name out of three scores a point. No jumpshot videos and no blurry photos: you guess from the facts of the player's best season, one clue at a time.
- Send the link. One of you starts a game and shares the link or the 4-letter code. Play with up to 4 friends for free, or play alone.
- Watch the clues drop. A new clue appears every 7 seconds: three facts, then the country, the position and the season.
- Guess when you dare. Pick one of three names. Right, and you score a point. Wrong, and everyone else scores a point and the round ends.
- First to 10 wins. Playing alone? You get 10 rounds, and the game counts how many you got.
The earlier you guess, the more you risk. Wait for the last clue, and someone faster may take the point first.
What are the clues?
Six clues per player, from the hardest to the easiest, all about the player's best season.

Current stars and legends are mixed, and the two wrong names are usually from the same position and the same era, so you can't guess from the position alone.
Can you play Guess the Basketball Player online with friends?

- Bid on one basketball player at a time. Point guards, wings and centers go under the hammer one by one, legends from as far back as 1957 next to players from this season. A big man can go for 30M if two of you need a center.
- Choose how your five line up. The game is played quarter by quarter, basket by basket. A close one goes to overtime, and the stronger five always wins it.

Basketball Guess the player rules in one minute
- Players: 1 to 8. Up to 4 play free; alone you get 10 rounds and a score.
- Clues: three facts from the best season, then the flag, the position and the season.
- Answers: three names to choose from. Right scores you 1 point; wrong gives everyone else 1.
- Winning: first to 10 points.
- The basketball players: 42 point guards, 43 shooting guards, 48 small forwards, 37 power forwards and 44 centers.

Can I play Guess the player alone?
Yes. Alone you get 10 rounds, and the game counts how many you got right. With friends, the first to 10 points wins.
How hard are the basketball clues?
The first three are facts from the basketball player's best season, the hardest first. The flag, position and season come last, and by then someone has usually guessed.
What happens if I guess the wrong basketball player?
Everyone else scores a point and the round ends, so a wild early guess can cost you.
