Terms of Use — Deadline Day

These terms apply when you use the Deadline Day game. This covers the iOS app, the Android app and the web version (together, "the Game"). The Game is provided by AddonNordic ApS, Solvangen 15, 9210 Aalborg SØ, Denmark, CVR 46495985, contact@addonnordic.dk ("we", "us").

By creating or joining a game, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Game.

1. What the Game is

Deadline Day is a party game for friends. Players join a private room with a code, bid for footballers in a live auction using a fictional budget, pick a line-up and watch a simulated season. There are no accounts. A room and everything in it is deleted automatically, no later than 6 hours after it was last active.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve any purchase. The Game is not designed for, or directed at, children under 13.

3. No real money, no gambling

The budget, bids, prices and "millions" in the Game are a fictional in-game currency. It exists only inside a room and disappears when the room is deleted.
The fictional currency has no monetary value. It cannot be bought, sold, transferred, exchanged, withdrawn or redeemed for money, goods or anything else of value, and it cannot be cashed out in any way.
The Game offers no real-money prizes, and it is not a gambling or betting service. Season results are produced by a computer simulation using the Game's own fictional ratings. They do not depend on, or predict, any real match.
You may not use the Game for betting or wagering between players, or for any other gambling.

4. Purchases (Host Pass)

The Game is free for rooms with up to 4 friends. The optional Host Pass is a one-time purchase that opens every room you host to up to 8 friends. We never sell players, player pools or advantages in the auction. The price shown at checkout applies.
On the website, the Host Pass is sold through Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record: Stripe is the seller for the payment, calculates and pays VAT, and handles payment support, refunds and disputes under the Stripe Managed Payments terms. We never receive your card or payment details. The pass is stored in the browser on the device you bought it on. If you clear your browser data or switch device, email contact@addonnordic.dk with your receipt and we will help you restore it.
In the iOS and Android apps (when available), paid features are sold only through Apple's App Store or Google Play, and their terms and refund policies apply: the Apple Media Services Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. App purchases can be restored on another device signed in to the same account, using "Restore purchases".
Refund requests go to the seller: Stripe (via the link in your receipt, or by contacting us) for website purchases, Apple or Google for app purchases.
Paid features are a licence to use digital content in the Game. They are not property. They cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged for money.
Your right of withdrawal (EU consumers): you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. When you buy, you ask for the content to be made available immediately, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once delivery has started. This does not affect your rights if the content is faulty.

5. Your team name and behaviour

You choose a team name that other players in your room will see. You are responsible for it. Team names and behaviour must not:

be offensive, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, sexual or harassing, or target a real person or group
contain another person's personal information, such as a full real name of someone who has not agreed, a phone number or an address
impersonate another person, club, league, brand or AddonNordic
contain links, advertising or spam
break the law or anyone else's rights, including trademarks

You also must not cheat, exploit bugs, disrupt games, overload or attack our servers, or use bots or automated scripts to play.

Reporting and removal: you can report an offensive team name in the Game, or email contact@addonnordic.dk with the room code and the name. A room host can remove players from the lobby. We may filter or replace names, remove players from a room, close a room, or block access from a device or connection that breaks these rules. We review reports promptly.

The "roast" comments in the Game poke fun at your auction moves, never at you as a person. They are generated automatically and are meant as friendly banter.

6. Football players, clubs and trademarks

Deadline Day is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by any football player, club, league, federation, association or players' union. This includes FIFA, UEFA, FIFPRO and any national association. Any names, ratings, values and "facts" in the Game are fictional game content created by us for entertainment. They do not reflect any real player's actual ability, value or opinions. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

7. Our content

The Game belongs to AddonNordic ApS. This includes its code, design, texts, ratings, sound effects and graphics. While you comply with these terms, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Game for your own private entertainment. You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the Game, except where the law permits it.

You may freely share result cards and invite links that the Game creates for you.

8. Availability and changes

The Game is provided free of charge except for optional in-app purchases. It runs live over the internet. We aim to keep it running, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. A room can end if the connection or the server fails. Because rooms are deleted automatically, game results are not saved. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering a paid feature you bought, your statutory consumer rights apply.

9. Liability

We provide the Game "as is". We are liable for damage to you only if we cause it intentionally or through gross negligence, and only for foreseeable damage.
We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data or game results, or for content other players create, such as team names.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

10. Ending use

You can stop using the Game at any time by leaving the room and deleting the app. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add new features. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the Game before it applies to you.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer living in another EU/EEA country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer laws. Disputes go to the Danish courts, but as a consumer you may also bring a case in the courts where you live. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at contact@addonnordic.dk. You can also complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet).
