How the cricket auction works

1. 📲Create a game and send the link. Drop the link in the group chat before the first ball. Everyone joins on their own phone, on the sofa or across the country.
2. 🔨Bid on one cricketer at a time. Batters, wicketkeepers, all-rounders, pace bowlers and spinners go under the hammer one by one, legends from 1948 next to today's stars. Two of you chasing the same opener is where the budget goes.
3. 🏟️Set your batting order and your attack. The final is a T20: one side bats, the other chases. Level after 20 overs? A Super Over decides it, and the stronger XI wins.

What does the cricket auction cost?

The cricket auction rules in one minute

• Budget: every manager starts with 100M of play money. You always keep enough to fill the rest of your squad, so you can never go broke.
• Squad: 14 players: your XI and three on the bench, with at least one wicketkeeper. Want it quicker? Quick draft is a five-player Super Over side.
• Bidding: the clock starts at 10 seconds and every bid restarts it. Tap Pass when you are out, and when everyone has passed the hammer falls straight away.
• Hidden ratings: you never see a cricketer's rating during the auction. You bid on what you know.
• The last manager standing: when everyone else has a full squad, the last manager gets random cricketers to fill theirs. Bid while you can.
• Lineup: Set your batting order and your attack: Balanced, Batting depth, Pace attack or Spin web. A wicketkeeper only keeps, a batter bowling or a bowler batting high costs rating, and all-rounders fit almost anywhere.
• The result: a season of T20s and a final between the top two. Ties go to a Super Over, which the stronger XI always wins.
